This stretch of beach is one of the most famous in the world. Millions of people visit each year, and there are always celebrations. Walk down the Copacabana Promenade to find shops, restaurants and bars.
Christ the Redeemer
One of Rio’s most prominent and recognizable landmarks, the statue of Christ the Redeemer stands on top of a mountain overlooking the city.
This peak on a small peninsula in the Atlantic offers great views of Rio’s beaches. You can reach the summit via cable car. Sugarloaf is also one of the largest urban rock climbing areas in the world.
