Christchurch Botanic Gardens
Stroll among the flowers at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The fifty-two acre park was founded in 1863. Visit the one of the multiple rose gardens, Herb Garden, Fernery, and the Visitor Centre, which has a history of the plants of New Zealand.
Christchurch is home to multiple wildlife preserves. Book at tour at the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve or the Orana Wildlife Park to see wild animals up close.
New Regent Street
New Regent Street is an outdoor pedestrian mall with lots of shops and restaurants. Many of the stores are located in historic buildings, so you’ll be able to take good photos even if you don’t buy anything.
