If you’re a frequent traveler, chances are you rack up points for your time on the road. Whether they’re credit card points or rewards for booking with certain hotels and airlines, here are some tips for booking travel with points.
Pay Attention to Expiration Dates
Some programs have expiration dates for your points, so make sure you use them before you lose them.
You may be able to make your points go farther if you book through your credit card’s marketplace or directly with a company, so compare prices and reward benefits before booking.
While flying free with points is great, you can also use them to get upgrades. For instance, you may be able to pay for an overnight economy seat to Europe, but can use the points to upgrade to much more comfortable business class.
