Pre-Security Screening Options

If you fly frequently, you might want to consider getting pre-screened so you can get through security more quickly. Here is a breakdown of your options.

TSA Pre-Check
With TSA Pre-Check, you will go through a special line at airport security in the U.S. You don’t need to remove your shoes or jackets, and you can leave your liquids and electronics in your bag. It costs $85 and lasts five years. You’ll need to submit an application and do an in-person background check. TSA Pre-Check is not at every airport or available on every airline.

Global Entry
Global Entry is great for those who frequently travel out of the United States. It makes going through customs much easier. You get many of the same benefits as TSA Pre-Check customers and don’t have to submit customs paperwork or wait in lines. It costs $100 and lasts five years.
